Weekends in Milan can be quite relaxing, especially if you happen to get a day of blue skies and sunshine like the one we had today. There are loads of events/exhibitions offered for all ages, all you have to do is take your pick. I looked on my favorite site for kids – Milano per Bambini, (Milan for kids) where I found an exhibition dedicated entirely to children in the very special Rotonda della Besana. The exhibition Equilibrio, as the website states – ‘An exhibition that presents the situations where children can take action to find a balance that improves humans life: the nutritional and energetic balance is a necessary condition for the harmonious development of the individual in the world. The play-path involves children to explore the theme of balance, in seven different game-installations.’
After 3 weeks of a very grey Milan, the kids and I happily prepared our things and headed out into the crisp cold day. Of course, by the time we got to the Rotonda della Besana, both of my children were starving..the play – path of Equilibrio takes 90 minutes, with the sun beating down on our heads I decide this is definitely something we can save for a rainy day.
