Milan, one big step forward..

Weekends in Milan have never been better. This weekend the weather was beautiful and Milan was full of things to do for people of every age. This year along with the Orticola, the Flower Market that happens once a year in the beautiful Gardens of Indro Montanelli, there was Piano City Milan.

Piano City Milan is a cultural event organized by the city of Milan. Over 250 concerts organized in the city in some of the most incredible monumental spaces that exist with concerts organized for everyone – children included. (watch out New York..)

Sunday was not only Mother’s day but also ‘blocco traffico’, or – no car day to help combat the pollution and smog. The entire city alive, but without cars..

We rode our bikes around a car free Milan, going from one concert to the next, taking a break to see the incredible skyline built in Porta Nuova, eventually arriving at our destination Deus Cafe for a Mother’s Day hamburger.

A fantastic weekend spent with family, in the city..

something I thought I would never hear myself say!

Sometimes Milano is not so bad!

    • Well,as I am the first person to complain about life in the big cement city, oops I mean city;-) it is only fair that I write about the positive side of Milan. I was truly amazed at how much this city has progressed! And I would not have been able to see so much if I hadn’t been on my bike! thanks, as always, for stopping by.
